Environmental Policy

AJ Laminated Beams recognises its responsibility to protect the environment as a supplier to the construction industry.

This statement is a declaration of the company’s intent to ensure we adequately manage or works, prevent pollution and continually improve the operation and environmental of our activities.

 

This policy is made available to all interested parties and members of the public upon request and will be implemented by adopting the following main principles in a proactive manner.

 

AJ Laminated Beams:

  • Comply with relevant legislation, client and other requirements that apply to all our work activities as a minimum.

  • Communicate with all interested parties to ensure minimal environmental impact.

  • Identify and evaluate environmental aspects of all projects which the company undertakes which may include such aspects as.

 

  • Waste management and minimisation.

  • Air quality.

  • Noise.

  • Ground condition.

  • Water resources.

  • Wildlife and habitat.

  • Set measurable and realistic environmental objectives and targets to improve the environmental performance across the business.

  • Operate and implement the company Health & Safety procedures.

  • Identify and implement the training needs of all our employees, subcontractors and suppliers to raise environmental awareness across the business.

  • Source environmentally sustainable materials, reduce our waste and consumption of energy and raw materials and maximise opportunities to re-use and recycle where possible.

  • Promote high environmental standards and the use of environmental best practices throughout the business.

 

The managing director is responsible for the management of environmental issues and the implementation of this policy throughout the company and will ensure appropriate resources are available.

 

This policy and our environmental performance will be reviewed on an annual basis.
